Richard Mille RM-27-03 Rafael Nadal Tourbillon watch

Richard Mille proudly presents the RM-27-03 Rafael Nadal Tourbillon watch

Today, Richard Mille launched another significant timepiece in France: the RM27-03 Rafael Nadal Tourbillon watch, priced at a staggering $750,000. Having collaborated for seven years, Richard Mille has consistently strived for perfection in crafting watches for the tennis star, from the shock-resistant tourbillon movement to the stunning design using high-tech materials. This latest release further confirms that commitment.

The watch’s aesthetic is inspired by the Roland Garros clay courts, where nine-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal unleashes his magic. Hence, the fake luxury watch features striking red and bright yellow accents. Furthermore, like the high-tech clay courts, the case is crafted from Quartz TPT® – a Swiss-patented process that impregnates an ultra-thin 45-micron layer of silica with colored resin. The process involves stacking layers of fine filaments and then heating them to 120°C.

According to Richard Mille, developing a completely new Quartz TPT® hue without compromising biocompatibility and durability was no easy feat. This work was accomplished through a collaboration between Richard Mille’s engineers and North Thin Ply Technology (NTPT®).

The RM27-03 movement, equipped with an exceptional tourbillon capable of withstanding shocks up to 10,000g, sets a new benchmark in watchmaking. In addition to years of development, this timepiece has undergone hundreds of hours of oscillating impact testing. Furthermore, this ultra-light tourbillon movement features a skeletonized design and reduces the number of components to lighten its weight. The quick-winding barrel provides a 70-hour power reserve. Of course, all components are exquisitely finished, with the bridges, discs, and tourbillon shaped like bull horns—the bull being a symbol of Spain and a signature motif of Lafayette Lafayette. The torque-limiting crown for winding is designed in the shape of a tennis ball.

Built Carbon Fiber Case Backplate

The RM 27-03 features a built-in case backplate made of Carbon TPT®. The bezel and case back are directly assembled to the case backplate; this structure is known as “Built-in”—a racing car construction that ensures maximum rigidity and enhanced shock resistance.

Carbon TPT® consists of multiple layers of parallel carbon fiber filaments obtained by separating carbon fiber threads. Carbon TPT® has a maximum thickness of 30 microns. Its layers are impregnated with resin and stacked on a special machine that aligns the fiber orientation of each layer by 45°. After being heated to 120°C and subjected to 6 bar of pressure, Carbon TPT® is processed at Richard Mille’s parts factory. Carbon TPT® is renowned for its superior resistance to microcracks and cracking.

This perforated carbon fiber TPT® baseplate is a masterpiece of processing technology. As a core component of the RM 27-03, it has undergone a series of rigorous tests to optimize its mechanical properties. fashion fake watches

Grade 5 Titanium Alloy Bridge

Grade 5 titanium is a biocompatible, corrosion-resistant, and extremely rigid alloy that ensures smooth operation of gear transmissions. This alloy consists of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. This ratio further enhances its mechanical properties, making it widely used in the aerospace, aviation, and automotive industries.

Like the baseplate, the bridges of the RM 27-03 movement have undergone rigorous and comprehensive certification testing to optimize their shock resistance.

Variable Inertia Free-Range Balance

The free-range balance wheel with variable inertia and a terminal curve hairspring ensures greater reliability under shocks and during movement assembly and disassembly, resulting in better timekeeping performance over time.

High-Speed Rotating Barrel (6 hours per revolution instead of 7.5 hours)

This barrel offers the following advantages:

– Significantly reduces periodic internal mainspring stickiness, thus improving performance; – Provides excellent mainspring curve variation. The ideal power reserve/performance/timekeeping regularity ratio should be considered when selecting this feature.

Barrel Pawl with Progressive Recoil

This device significantly improves winding efficiency (approximately 20%), especially in the initial winding stages. It also contributes to a more even distribution of tension within the mainspring.

The drum gear and center pinion feature a central involute profile.

The central involute tooth profile of the drum gear provides an optimal pressure angle of 20°, thus promoting efficient rotational motion and compensating for deviations that may occur during the operation of the gear train. This, in turn, ensures excellent torque transmission and a significant performance improvement. wholesale fake watches

Quartz Case TPT®

The RM 27-03 features Quartz TPT® bezels on both the front and back. Quartz TPT® is a groundbreaking new material designed and developed in collaboration with North Thin Ply Technology.

It consists of parallel fiber layers made from separated silica filaments. These fiber layers, no more than 45 micrometers thick, are impregnated in a yellow or red resin developed specifically for Richard Mille and then inserted using an automated positioning system that can change the orientation of each fiber layer by 45°.

The material is then heated to 120°C and subjected to 6 bar of pressure in an autoclave similar to those used in manufacturing aerospace components, before being machined using CNC machine tools in Richard Mille’s production facility. During processing, the individual fiber layers of Quartz TPT® are randomly exposed, ensuring that each machined part is unique.

Due to the high temperature resistance and high strength properties of quartz fibers, they are commonly used in high-performance applications.

The entire case structure is water-resistant to 50 meters, thanks to two nitrile rubber O-rings and assembled using 12 grade 5 titanium spline screws and 316L stainless steel washers.

Torque Limiting Crown

The crown is made of quartz TPT®. This additional safety system prevents accidental overwinding, thus avoiding damage to the winding rod or excessive stress on the mainspring barrel.

Crystal: Sapphire crystal (Vickers hardness 1800), double anti-reflective coating; Thickness: 1.20 mm at the edge and 4.09 mm at the top.
