HYT H1 hydraulic machinery: let the flow go
Unless you live in ancient Egypt, China, or Greece, you probably have never seen the otherworldly HYT H1. Welcome to the future and pay tribute to the past. HYT’s hydraulic mechanical H1 combines Swiss mechanical haute horology with the first fluid-based time interface since the ancient clepsydra “water clock”.
The bimetallic bellows forms the technical and aesthetic core of the revolutionary HYT 101 movement. Each bellows acts as a reservoir for high-viscosity fluid: one fluorescent green and one transparent. The calibrated circumferential tube connected to the reservoir acts as an hour orbit, and the visible meniscus between the two fluids acts as a moving hour index or “hour hand”.
Moreover, copy HYT H1 is a regulator and retrograde in the traditional Swiss sense. The traditional 60-minute hand is located at 12 o’clock and tracks the movement of the meniscus hour index. The constant seconds display is provided by a mobile turbine at nine o’clock, and the 65-hour power reserve is displayed by the traditional 2:30 pointer.
When the fluorescent liquid fills the entire 12-hour display and reaches the six o’clock position, the retrograde function of HYT H1 will “start”. At this time, the green fluid quickly retreats 360 degrees and returns to the origin on the other side of the six indices; the entire calibrated hourly trajectory will become clear, and the green fluid will begin to track the progress of the next 12 hours of the day.
The 49mm titanium HYT H1 may be inspired by classical antiquity, but its size and wrist existence are clearly 21st century. The layered aesthetics ensures that every structural element of the case structure is fully expressed; this is a watch that highlights the original mechanical appearance and characteristics. HYT added a rubber strap with end pieces that meet the requirements to ensure seamless integration with the sides of the case; it reads as a continuous flow of modern materials.
HYT copy extremely comfortable rubber strap with short lugs, flat bottom cover and inherent lightness of titanium to achieve excellent ergonomic design. H1’s 49mm case seems practical; HYT fits well for wrists as small as 5.5 inches in circumference.
In addition, HYT H1 is a real-world watch designed to let you enjoy it with confidence and comfort. Its excellent ergonomic design has been established, but the practicality of the H1 stems from its screw-in crown, 100 meters (330 feet) waterproof and shockproof movement. Although the HYT H1 is similar to a concept watch or a Baselworld prototype, it is designed to withstand the harsh life of the real world on the wrist: in every way, it is a serious sports swiss watches brands.
Although its depiction of time is revolutionary, the manual winding HYT Calibre 101 incorporates the best traditions of Swiss mechanical watchmaking. Designed in collaboration with Jean-Francois Mojhon of Chronode, a boutique movement expert, Cal. 101 With the expected Geneva stripes, mirror-quality angles, and the compact floor debris of a fine Geneva dress watch. Similarly, the brushed gears of the drive train and the 28,800 VpH escapement also show meticulous attention to finishing details.
But the hydraulic system is the highlight, and HYT makes it clearly visible in the center of the hollow dial and movement. It takes a full ten years for this mechanism to go from concept to market. It is one of the few real breakthroughs in the development of high-end watches in the past two decades.
Although others rearranged the same regulator hands (Patek Philippe, JLC, Chronoswiss, etc.), retrograde (Gerald Genta, Daniel Roth, Vacheron), wandering time (Urwerk, AP) and jumping time (Vianney Halter, AP, Lange, De Bethune), only fake HYT really broke the shackles of the past with H1, a blue sky dream realized with metal, fluid and crystal.
