Hublot Upgrades Big Bang Integral

Flagship chronograph in three ceramic colours.

The Big Bang is a Hublot classic that celebrated its 15th anniversary last year with a major redesign featuring a new bracelet that blends seamlessly with the redesigned case. Now, Hublot has updated the original with the Big Bang Integral Ceramic, a colorful all-ceramic chronograph.

initial thought
The new ceramic chronograph is the same as last year’s model, except for the different materials, all its qualities are the same as the original model. It’s a big but not huge watch that wears well, especially in its lighter iterations. Also worth noting is the enhanced finishing compared to previous generations of the Big Bang. And the design is well done; the integrated bracelet is especially commendable as it blends into the case so well, especially since the Big Bang is most often seen on the strap.

That said, the new Big Bang Integral Ceramic is more attractive than the original titanium or gold versions. In addition to being scratch-resistant, ceramic is also lightweight, colorful and shiny, giving it the look and feel befitting a stylish sports watch. If you like the look—oversized, technical sports chronographs—the Big Bang Integral is an excellent perfect watch.

sports chronograph
The Big Bang Integral Ceramic Chronograph is not immediately obvious due to the dial design, but it is a chronograph powered by the HUB1280 Unico movement. It is worth noting that the chronograph is flyback timing, which means that it can be reset while running, “flyback” to zero and restart immediately.

The movement developed in-house is modular, consisting of a Unico automatic base movement with a chronograph module on top. It’s not the more complex integrated structure it’s widely considered to be, but there’s one benefit to the modular approach: a view of the chronograph mechanisms beneath the dial.

In fact, Hublot utilizes a transparent sapphire dial to showcase the work of the chronograph. Visible at six o’clock is the column wheel, the hub that coordinates the chronograph stem to control start, stop and reset. high quality fake watch
