Bell & Ross BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor

Bell & Ross Reinterprets the Square Dial with the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor and the BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36mm.

The French watchmaker introduces two new timepieces exploring two distinct interpretations of its iconic square case.

Bell & Ross is known for its highly recognizable design language: square cases, four signature screws, cockpit-inspired design elements, and a design philosophy emphasizing legibility, precision, practicality, and reliability. This year, the French brand further expands its unique brand image with two strikingly different new pieces. The first is the limited-edition BR-X3 Micro-Rotor, which integrates the case and movement into a semi-skeletonized structure. The second is the BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36mm, whose diamond-set dial adds a touch of poetry to the brand’s urban-style BR-05 collection.

Both timepieces embody what Bell & Ross fake Managing Director Fabien de Nonancourt describes as the brand’s dual creative philosophy. “We express creativity and innovation in many ways: both in the movement and in the design. Our signature square design provides an excellent platform for this, so even without the brand logo, you can instantly recognize these two watches as Bell & Ross creations,” he said in an email interview.

The BR-X3 Microrotor watch introduced the concept of an integrated case and movement in last year’s BR-X3 Tourbillon Microrotor watch, but with a more minimalist aesthetic.

“We wanted to retain the movement’s unique structure, including its horizontal and vertical lines,” explained de Noonencourt, explaining that this linear grid structure is central to the watch’s visual appeal. The 40mm BR-03 case not only houses the movement but is itself part of its structure, with the bridges directly supporting the square case, making the case and movement a unified whole. This ultimate assembly consists of only three parts: a central steel plate forming the case-movement module, and two sapphire crystal glasses.

This design concept was proposed by Bruno Belamich, co-founder and creative director of Bell & Ross. As de Nonancourt explained, “Bruno’s bold principle is to make the mechanics itself a visual feast, allowing watchmaking to showcase its artistic dimension. The movement becomes the absolute protagonist. For this watch, the case and movement are an inseparable whole, structurally tightly connected.” The semi-skeletonized BR-CAL.390 is an in-house developed automatic movement with a micro-rotor located inside the movement, rather than the traditional top-mounted rotor. This allows the watch to be only 9mm thick while still providing a 48-hour power reserve. dupe fashion

“Our approach is quite unusual. We first created a skeletal model, and then studied how to fill it in to make it a semi-skeleton model,” de Nonancourt revealed.

The watch is crafted from a monochromatic grey and stainless steel base, with brushed bridges, a micro-blasted mainplate, and polished chamfers, giving it an industrial yet elegant feel. The time display also strives for simplicity, with two rhodium-plated hour and minute hands coated with white Super-LumiNova luminescent material that glows blue in low light. A grey calfskin strap adorned with a faux-alligator texture completes the look perfectly.

A Precious Work of Art on the Wrist

While diamond-set watches are not typically associated with Bell & Ross, the BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36mm allows the brand to explore a more expressive and unconventional side.

This new model revives the concept that first appeared 10 years ago, featuring a diamond-set dial depicting the Eagle constellation, and reinterprets this concept in the watchmaker’s smallest BR-05 case, measuring 36mm, launching in 2025.

“The design concept of the first Diamond Eagle watch was very successful,” said de Noonencourt. “This unique and visually striking diamond-set dial adds a bold artistic touch to the BR-05 watch’s design, making it a distinctive piece that intertwines light, texture, and emotion. We also believe its petite 36mm size is perfect for women.”

Its dial is made of blue aventurine glass, a shimmering material associated with Murano glassmakers, said to have been accidentally discovered when copper shavings fell into molten glass.

Aventurine is beautiful yet fragile, sensitive to temperature changes, and prone to microcracks, making it extremely difficult to cut and drill. Seven diamonds are set on the dial, precisely outlining the positions of the constellation Aquila. wholesale replica watches

The largest diamond, located between 10 and 11 o’clock, represents the head of the beetle and Altair, the largest and brightest star in the constellation. Three medium-sized diamonds depict the wings and tail, while three more outline the silhouette. In addition, 12 diamonds mark the hour markers, for a total of 18 diamonds in three sizes.

Each crown is set in a custom brass base, secured by four prongs, and then inserted into a carefully drilled aventurine crystal aperture. This three-hand watch is powered by the self-winding BR-CAL.329 movement with a 54-hour power reserve, and features a satin-polished stainless steel case and a matching integrated stainless steel bracelet. https://www.whereguidewatch.com
