Richard Mille launches the RM17-02, a white TPT quartz watch

A new case for the beautiful tourbillon collection

Richard Mille fake was founded in 2001 by Richard Mille and Dominique Guenat. Despite its relative youth, having been in the industry for just over two decades, the brand has become synonymous with innovation, cutting-edge technology and avant-garde design. Richard Mille is renowned for its ultra-light and durable watches, often incorporating advanced materials such as carbon nanotubes and titanium, which have captured the attention of watch enthusiasts and collectors around the world. Its unique approach to watchmaking, characterized by bold aesthetics and technical precision, has cemented its reputation as one of the greatest success stories in the modern watch industry.

Representing the principles of Haute Horlogerie tradition and excellence, Richard Mille presents the RM17-02, a tourbillon watch that demonstrates its dedication to mechanical innovation. The watch features White Quartz TPT, a composite material made from hundreds of layers of quartz fibers arranged in alternating directions.

The design and craftsmanship of this watch reflect a thorough approach that integrates movement, case and dial. Each element has been designed to meet extremely high standards, similar to the precision and harmony required in the design of a Formula 1 car, where the chassis and engine are developed in tandem. For example, the usual case ring has been replaced with chassis mounting rubbers (ISO SW) and fixed with grade 5 titanium screws, ensuring the safety of the movement while highlighting the brand’s obsession with precision. replica watches uk

The Tonneau case, measuring 49.80 x 38 mm in diameter and made of three parts, is water-resistant to 50 metres thanks to two nitrile O-ring seals. It is held together by 12 spline screws made of grade 5 titanium. To prevent accidental overwinding that could damage the winding stem or apply excessive force to the barrel spring, the watch is equipped with a torque-limiting crown for extra safety and peace of mind.

The beauty and contrast of Richard Mille’s skeletonized dial is mesmerizing, revealing a complex mechanism made from advanced materials such as blue grade 5 titanium. The power reserve is indicated by a scale at 2 o’clock, showing how many hours of energy are left in the mainspring before the watch needs to be wound. Like a car gearbox, the function indicator shows the winding, neutral and hand-setting positions when the crown is pulled out, and a hand at 4 o’clock indicates the current setting. The most striking feature is the tourbillon at 6 o’clock, which counteracts the effects of gravity and ensures the watch’s precision.

The watch is equipped with the RM17-02 manual winding movement, which beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and provides a 70-hour power reserve. The movement is equipped with a “fast rotating barrel” that completes a full cycle in just 6 hours instead of the usual 7.5 hours. The new RM17-02 is equipped with a black rubber strap.
