With the Chronotimer Flyback in 1919, Porsche Design expanded its 1919 series to include chronographs with rare and complex flyback functions and chronograph certificates.

In terms of appearance, Porsche design relies entirely on sportiness, subtle elegant touch and maximum functionality. The dial of the Chronotimer Flyback in 1919 followed the Porsche design philosophy. The focus here is on simple purism and perfect reading. High-tech materials not only guarantee the highest comfort, especially long service life and excellent skin resistance, they are also 40% lighter than stainless steel, and have been successfully used in racing engine manufacturing for decades. The 1919 Chronotimer Flyback was mounted on a brown calfskin strap and secured with a button buckle.

Internally, the Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback has a self-winding movement 01.200, which was jointly developed by Porsche Design in Switzerland with its partners for three years and has been put into mass production since September 2018.

This internal movement not only has a technologically advanced flyback function, but also has excellent accuracy, as evidenced by the official COSC certificate of the Swiss Chronograph Control Center (COSC). Porsche’s racing DNA is undeniable. Porsche adopts a typical design method, all parts of the movement (such as the bottom plate, various bridges, balance pistons or rotors) are coated with a matte black PVD coating.

The 1919 Chronotimer Flyback tourbillon case can be water-resistant to 100 meters and is equipped with a crown that is easy to tighten. The chronograph button is easy to use due to its slim shape. Porsche designed the Chronotimer Flyback in 1919 to be worn on a sturdy brown calfskin strap. The decorative seams also remain brown. The exclusive automatic movement WERK 01.200, which worked on the Chronotimer Flyback in 1919, set a new standard in performance and efficiency. This movement is a chronograph movement with a complex flyback mechanism that can measure continuous intervals. The 4 Hz self-winding movement is the result of three years of development. Together with its Swiss partners, Porsche Design combines all its watchmaking and engineering expertise and vehicle development expertise.

The racing DNA did not leave any traces on the 1919 Chronotimer Flyback’s automatic movement 01.200. A typical Porsche design is an integral part of the movement, such as the bottom plate, various bridges, balanced pistons or rotors, and matt black PVD coating. The robust, unmistakable Porsche Design Icon rotor with tungsten counterweights improves elevator performance.

Following Porsche’s lightweight construction principle, the mainspring bridge of the movement has also been framed to reduce weight and highlight the flyback function and gear train. According to the activation of the timer function, the power reserve is up to 48 hours.
